Five Star Chicken is a popular fast food brand in the country, originated from the Thai Multi-National Conglomerate, CP Foods. The fact that in just 3 years they have over 240 stores across South India and growing more, shows Five Star Chicken is becoming a strong neighborhood brand offering great quality of fast food products at affordable prices to all consumers.
Recently I was asked to review and taste some of dishes from Five Star Chicken‘s menu. Now I have had Five Star Chicken before, in fact they had a store near my place and I was often trying their food. But I was quite pleasantly surprised to see the changes in their menu and recipes in recent time. Some of their dishes are even better than the competitors. My review mainly covered their signature offerings of Chicken pieces in 2 flavors: Thai Crispy and Crunchy Masala, Burgers and Hot Dogs. My favorite of these was the Thai Crispy. The taste of the golden brown fried chicken coated with garlic and black thai pepper was just perfect.
But if you are looking for something Indian or something more Spicy the Crunchy Masala is probably the right option. And Tapash loves spicy food, hence he thoroughly enjoyed the the taste of Indian Masala Chicken. It was really flavorful.
They have few burger options for both in veg and non veg. We tried Crispy Chicken Burger and Hungry Bird Burger. I felt former was very dry and chicken was not really crispy as the name. The Hungry Bird was beller was good. The whole chicken breast fillet with generous bit of sauce and veggies made the burger juicy and yummy. The consistency of the bread could be better, but I did consume it after a while.
Their chicken hot dogs are new addition to their menu. You will find them only in few outlets. I just took a bite as I was already full but it was pretty good, not the traditional frankfurter kind, but nice for a quick snack. My only qualm was the excess veggies on it, but that’s just me! This could become a popular dish, a good value add to their menu.

They operate poultry farms, storage and distribution, which helps them to control quality and ensure that is up to the best mark always; and at a very economical and affordable price.
