Yes, this is a food blogger’s website, but every girl is a closet shopaholic and an aspiring fashionista, no denying that, right? So don’t hold it against me, this one is about a meet up that was more than just about food! Elanic is an app designed to sell your gently used branded clothes, accessories and shoes. Your wardrobe doesn’t fall over, and you make money out of it. And if you’re looking to buy, you don’t overspend. Win win I say! When my dear friend Som introduced me to this app, they weren’t on App Store yet. No that didn’t deter me. Now they are available both on Play Store and App Store, but it’s only for the ladies, well at the moment!

Click, post, describe, price, done. Elanic has an approval cycle for every post. Once sold online, they collect the article, quality check, sanitize and dispatch it to the buyer. This meet up was one of their first initiatives to get the early users into a meet and greet, and to share their experiences and feedback. The team Elanic consists of founders Aditi, Palkush and Abhilash, while Shruthi is their social media rep, most of whom we met at Bistro Claytopia for our first meet. The venue itself is pretty, open air mostly and the weather was kind to us for about the first one hour! As everybody got in, and we were doing our long round of introductions, the clouds came down, and we ‘rushed’ under the less nice but covered area of the café.

Let’s not forget the food!

Food and drinks were coming in pretty much unprompted, and soon there were cheese poppers, bruschettas and iced teas were going all around. While the service was pretty prompt, it wasn’t too heedful, so things were slightly chaotic and random. But of course we didn’t care much. Discussing shoes and clothes is pretty much an all-consuming hobby, if you didn’t know already! The team from Elanic took our feedback, both process wise and for the app, and shared their experience and journey with us. It’s always essential to focus on the human side of tech, and they did this effortlessly! Palkush also shared their journey so far, showing us the first Elanic star prototype he got designed in Guntur! They also shared some interesting statistics about who’s the biggest seller (Way to go Suzie!), the average item rejection rate, buyer trends and more!

What was really interesting about this meet up was the diverse set of individuals who got together, there were doctors and engineers who were also bloggers, designers and trend setters; an actress and a designer, work at home moms and so many more.  In a fun activity, we all had to paint the Elanic star, and everyone participated making some really cute art work. And this was followed by a (long) photo session – obviously, after which we also recorded short video bytes on our experiences with Elanic. Hopefully those aren’t disasters, we’ll see! Download the Elanic App today, and check out hundreds of closets to shop from, and save money while at it! My Elanic id is eatloveshop. What’s yours?
