Last week we were invited for a special preview of Jalsa Gold’s Valentine’s Special dinner. Now I have always liked the original Jalsa, their Mughal décor and cushion seats – the whole royal experience to dining. They were one of the first to bring that kind of concept dining to the city, back in the day. Jalsa Gold had opened up a few months back near Bellandur, so, we headed to Jalsa Gold after a day of work and what happened next – well, was completely unexpected!

Jalsa Gold Interiors

Walk into the bright gold interiors of the restaurant, with very interesting wall décor and bright lights. Our table was loaded with red and yellow roses and their signature gold cutlery. A flower bouquet was thoughtfully placed on the table, in case you forgot to pick that up for your partner. We were started off with some Prosecco – a glass of champagne for the couple is included in this package. Some of the starters were served at the table – I thought the Karela Chaat was rather interesting. Prawns, lamb, cottage cheese, chicken – there were a variety of selections of kababs and more. And then, we graduated to the mains to try some biryani, rotis and curries. Food was presented well, and the service was quite attentive.

The Cake!

The Fine Print

So Jalsa Gold would have a special menu for 14th Feb. The menu would comprise of a 6-course meal, served at the table. Additionally, a heart shaped cake would be provided, with a message of your selection. We had The Mad Muse on ours! This romance overloaded experience is priced at 1999 per couple. On regular days, Jalsa has buffets for lunch and dinner starting at 649++ for veg and 749++ for non veg. The restaurant also offers corporate discounts and meals with liquor packages.
