Social is running their Long Drink festival until August 10th throughout India – Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore outlets, and the theme – ladies and gentlemen is Game of Thrones. This season was quite a turn of events, a fantastic season finally one that didn’t end in a everyone’s favorite characters dying. So celebrating the season, Social has some amazing new Long Island Iced Teas and a few other interesting cocktails, and we were invited a few weeks back to Church Street Social for a fun afternoon of tasting and drinking games.

The line up of potent concoctions features a total of 9 drinks – our top favorites were Winter is Coming – made with tequila, coconut rum, vodka and ginger ale. Blood of the Dragon would be my second pick – tequila and gin with orange and cranberry juices giving it the vibrant color. High Garden was the sinful one that’s giving me a hangover today – absinthe, vodka, gin, tequila, rum.Lion’s Tail was another flavor of LIIT with Elderflower Tonic, while The Sunspear and Ours is the fury were the fruity, citrus variants with Orange and Apple Juice with sweet and sour.

That afternoon also saw some fun drinking games – yes, drinking up a 1Litre of potent LIIT in teams of 3 was the competition. Tapash, Ashmitha and I put up a super good score – in like 15 seconds, I was pretty much useless there to be honest. Hari’s team won. Probably. By the end of it, we were just pretty hammered.
