A couple of weeks back, we participated in a breakfast crawl organized by Ola. The theme was to basically get on board an Ola Rentals, hop across various popular and iconic breakfast joints in the city, and experience travel with ease. We started very early – around 7:30 am, and our driver reached well ahead of time to pick us up. First stop – Vidyarthi Bhavan.

Vidyarthi Bhavan

Gandhi Bazaar was buzzing as usual in the morning – and Vidyarthi Bhavan had its usual crowd and queue. Masala dosa and filter coffee was the start of the breakfast crawl. Once we finished, Tapash and I took a short stroll around the area. And then a quick call to our driver had the car brought around to us shortly. The convenience of it was really quite hassle free. From finding a safe parking, to navigating through traffic, and not having to book multiple cabs, yet managing multiple stops on the way – if you are shopping or running errands – Ola Rental brings an easy solution.

Next stop was MTR on Lalbagh Road. Mavalli Tiffin Rooms is one of the oldest eatery in Bangalore, and is recognized as a landmark in the city – not just a place to eat. We reached there in a matter of minutes from Gandhi Bazaar, and ordered steaming hot Rava Idlis, Kharabhath and their classic filter coffee. The coffee didn’t make much of an impression, but a fun experience nevertheless.

And then we headed to Koshy’s. We headed to M.G. Road, and had the Ola Cab’s interactive screens, that came loaded with Apple Music, with which we were choosing our playlist for the road. Mutton Stew with Appam, fresh juices, keema omelette, bacon filled up the table. We were already full from our previous stops, but the stew was just delicious!

Our last stop for the morning was The Hole in the Wall café. Surprisingly we didn’t have to wait long to get a table, probably because we were a big group. Waffles, Eggs Benedict, Crispy Bacon, Spinach and egg white omelette, fresh juices were our concluding breakfast of the morning. Needless to say, we skipped lunch!

The Last Word

Our Ola Rental car picked us up and took us back home. We had booked a package for 6 hours/60 km, and that suited perfectly for this morning trip. If you are looking at renting a car for a few hours, there are various packages available with Ola Rental. They also have Ola Outstation covered for your weekend getaways.
