I have been meaning to do this series for a while. This is a series of my favorites and recommendations of Bangalore eateries and restaurants. Why did I start with Glen’s Bakehouse? Because it is one of those places that you can never get enough of. A friend of mine recommended it to me, and she’s away from the city for a bit – so I visit Glen’s when I think of her. Recommended and known for their red velvet and some other desserts, Glen’s Bakehouse Indiranagar is actually a big bungalow, adeptly converted into a very nice, slightly home-looking cafe styled restaurant. There’s seating practically everywhere around in various nooks and corners, and you walk about the place – the air filled with  fresh aroma of Glen’s bakes. We recently visited this place for a late night snack – loved their Mutton Puff, Chicken Creamy Pie, Curried Pie – well priced, fresh and delicious!

I have tried doing some kind of a photo story. Besides the small eats, I tried the cold coffee with chocolate which wasn’t really as chocolate-y as I expected it to be, the coffee was overwhelmingly strong, left me practically sleepless! Desserts are definitely worth trying, along with their freshly baked pies!

Quick facts

Glen’s Bakehouse is located next to Toit on 100 feet road Indiranagar. They also has a breakfast menu, and meals – but I would go back time and again for the fresh bakes, quiches and pies. You could say it reminds me of Flury’s back home. There’s another outlet of Glen’s Bakehouse in Lavelle Road. Go on now, add this to your bucket lists! For more on this series, stay tuned.
