This year, Easter came and went in quite a flurry. Usually it’s a long weekend, and we go away, but Tapash ended up working on Good Friday, which left us in the city, with less traffic and that sudden spurts of rain. We were invited to an Easter Brunch at Latitude in Vivanta By Taj, Whitefield – and it had been quite a while since I actually sat down and had a traditional Easter meal, and there we were! The venue looked quite festive, Easter eggs set up, a large spread of desserts, a balloon artist, live music performance, and it was just getting started. Shahbaz, Annyesha and Akash were there to accompany us, and Neha & Caroline were there as well. And that was the party!

The Essentials!

THE SPREAD

Latitude is quite a big and spacious restaurant. Hence, we had a nice corner table, tucked away from the hum drum. There were grill counters, a live Omlette counter – perfect for a brunch. Fresh appams were getting served with prawn moilee – Indian, Asian and Continental spread on the buffet, a large selection of breads and cheese, and SO much more that it is literally not possible to try everything in one meal. For Easter, there was also a special drink menu with mocktails and cocktails – that we rather enjoyed.

Assortment of starters

While the spread had an abundance of non vegetarian options like the suckling pig and roast turkey – we were quite impressed with the vegetarian selections on the menu. The Stir fried bok choy with tofu in garlic was absolutely a delight, cooked very well. The Grilled Mushroom and Sliced Eggplant in Chili Soy Sauce was delicious as well. Though I tried my best to steer clear of the eggplant (not a fan!)

The Cute Little Easter Eggs!

I did like the Indian starters like Chicken Tunday Kabab and Lamb Seekh, served fresh and quite succulent. However, I ended my meal with the Chicken Thai Red Curry and some sticky rice – soul food never hurts. I wish we had tried more food, but well, there’s always a next time. In between our meal, there was an Easter Egg Hunt that was conducted. We saw a flurry of activity as the kids hunted for painted eggs with cartoons and figures drawn on them. I also got a Tiger balloon which was adorable 🙂 Quite an impressive spread, an enjoyable Sunday Brunch.
